Mosiah 2: 17
Mosiah 2: 17 And behold, I tell you these things that ye may learn wisdom; that ye may learn that when ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God. 18 Behold, ye have called me your king; and if I, whom ye call your king, do labor to serve you, then ought not ye to labor to serve one another?

Is there a better verse about service?! Maybe when Jesus said he lays down his life for his friends. I love the story of King Benjamin. Can you imagine a president of a country working in the fields to earn his keep?!
ReplyDeleteMatthew 25:40 is also a great verse to go with this one!
DeleteYeah, it would be nice to know that the leader is a good example and is working alongside the people.
ReplyDeletesounds like a cult
ReplyDeleteMan! If mormons are a cult then SIGN ME UP! A cult that teaches us to serve each other because of Jesus and stuff? I like it!
ReplyDelete"By their fruits ye shall know them"....Latter Day Saints (Mormons) are great! They encourage strong family's, serving one another, good morals. We sure need more peopple like this in our "anything goes" society! It's scarey to think of the world our children and grandchildren will be living in!!
